Hotel Garber - Red Cloud                                                        2025

Hotel Garber in Red Cloud is a beautifully restoredhistoric building that was built in 1902.  Originally called the Potter-Wright's building.  It was occupied by a variety of businesses.  None of them were ever a hotel.  If you take a look at the photos on Google Maps of Red Cloud, there is a photo showing the fancy architecture of the building immediately next to the hotel AND about half of the Potter-Wright's building, before the transformation.  I can almost guarantee some level of shock or disbelief.

Restoration started in 2018 and Hotel Garber opened in 2025.  It's a boutique Hotel and offers historic charm with modern amenities.  They have 26 rooms, a two bedroom loft, two spacious multi-use creative hubs and meeting spaces, a full service kitchen and restaurant, a small reading nook and library.

Frank's sister Vicki and her friend Sandy stayed at Hotel Garber and really enjoyed it.  Vicki called and expressed how much they liked it.  We intended to stay if we could arrange our Passport route to accommodate that plan but it didn't work out.

If you look closely at the little lights sticking out by each door, those are the room numbers.  That's a neat little touch I can't say I remember seeing anywhere else.  When you see the hotel, it's hard to believe what must have gone into creating such a beautiful place, inside and out.

Check in at the desk and enjoy your stay, including a meal at the restaurant.
